Mast: 439 Giek: 177 Voor 2009 zijn er niet al teveel veranderingen aangebracht ten opzichte van 2008. Het zeil voelt nog steeds super stijf en powervol aan. Op het land is duidelijk te merken dat het zeil op sommige plaatsen een stuk steviger is gemaakt. Vooral het onderste paneel is doormiddel van heavy duty dacron en een groter stuk diamond ply een stuk steviger. Ook merk je dat de kevlar lijnen die door het zeil lopen dit jaar een andere positionering hebben gekregen. Op het water voel je meteen dat het zeil qua handeling net wat makkelijker en lichter aanvoelt dan zijn voorganger. Ook planeert het zeil net wat sneller. Dit komt zeker ten goede wanneer de condities minimaal zijn en je met dit zeil in een paar pompjes direkt op snelheid bent om je moves te doen. Verder is de clew footangel een stuk rechter gemaakt. Dit houdt in dat het zeil makkelijker te ducke is wat ook meteen merkbaar is tijdens de eerste paar duckmoves.
Kortom, een robuust freestyle zeil wat erg veel power heeft en een erg lichte handeling, perfect om je moves in zowel lichte als fullpower condities te doen. 2009 CrossFire (FREESTYLE)

The Crossfire is a lightweight crossover sail optimized for freestyle. Freestyle demands a powerful, lightweight sail that is easy to handle and extremely maneuverable. Learning new moves involves a lot of crash and burn, so it must be tough enough to handle this too. The Crossfire is designed to have good low-end power and quickly get the rider up onto the plane. The sail has the power of a bigger sail yet the feel of a smaller sail. The feel of the sail is very forgiving and will provide the confidence to pull off the impossible. For its second season the Crossfire has had a re-working of the foot area. The position of the diamond ply has been moved further into the body of the sail and a heavy duty Dacron foot panel added. This makes the '09 Crossfire even stronger and more durable in the critical foot area without adding any significant weight. The Crossfire pattern Kevlar re-enforcement has also been re-aligned for better load dispersion. The Crossfire features a reduced boom clew that maintains the low end power of a longer boomed sail. The high clew and aggressively scooped out foot provide the maximum maneuverability and ease for freestyle tricks.

LIGHT WEIGHT
The lighter the sail the easier it is to handle and throw around so we build the Crossfire mostly with lightweight monofilm supplemented with other materials in high load areas and Dynamic Dacron in the leech to help keep the weight down. The sail feels amazingly light on the water and handles like a smaller sail yet delivers power like a bigger sail.
HEAVY DUTY DACRON FOOT
New for 2009 the foot has been beefed up with more X-ply and a Heavy Duty Dacron panel. Now even stronger to handle the most insane freestyle moves without fear of damaging the sail.
KEVLAR REINFORCEMENT
To the monofilm we add our exclusive Kevlar rope re-enforcement sandwiched between tapes. The Crossfire's Kevlar scope pattern concentrates the Kevlar where it is needed most. The result is the ultimate rip-stop system. It a section of film is punctured it will be contained within the kevlar boundaries that prevent further damage. It is simply impossible to tear a Crossfire in half unlike other monofilm sails.
POWERFUL DRAFT
Quick planing is essential in freestyle so the Crossfire delivers a powerful punch to quickly get you planing. The design focuses on low end power and early planing with good pumping characteristics. This allows a smaller sail to be used comfortably which just makes things easier.
