Tabou’s down-the-line waveboard has been completely redesigned this
year with five completely new shapes (67, 74, 79, 85 and 91). Most
notably, it now has five fin boxes (it also comes with five fins and box
covers), so it can be ridden as either a quad or thruster. The idea is that the quad setup can be used in pure sideshore
riding conditions whereas the thruster setup makes the most out of
sloppier, small waves.
The outline, rocker and concave have also been adjusted to
improve the boards’ overall handling, speed and grip. The boards have
also all been made longer and so more forgiving to sail in light wind.
